Thyme to Crochet Afghan

Thyme to Crochet Afghan

I saw this afghan scrolling through my Facebook feed multiple times and it caught my eye every single time. It’s made in squares and then sewn together. I’d never done any “blocking” and learned to do that making this afghan.

I made this afghan five squares by six squares out of Caron One Pound worsted weight yarn in Medium Grey. My daughter, Korinna, loved it and promptly laid claim to it!

Shades of Cool Throw

actual colors

My niece, Jenny, asked me to make a throw for her living room to tie in the colors of the room with a new rug she had. She found the pattern for the Shades of Cool Throw on Ravelry. She sent a picture of her couch and the rug she wanted brought together.

These are the actual colors and a close up of the throw. I made it a bit longer than a standard throw because her husband and son are both over six feet tall 🙂

I am not sure how I managed it, but did get this throw shipped off to Wisconsin without getting pictures of the full throw after it was finished.

Pride Blanket

I found this yarn on sale at Joann Fabrics and bought several skeins, not really knowing exactly what I was going to make out of it. I ended up deciding on a “lapghan” for myself. I have it in my office and pull it out when it gets chilly up here.

I made this blanket to go with one of the Dolly Llama toys. The blanket on Llama was made of the same colors as this one. I did not have a pattern for this one.
