In between projects, I saw this pattern for a little turkey. I had the yarn in my stash and with Thanksgiving just around the corner, whipped him out. He’s about 8″ across and a little under 6″ tall.
I really like the African Flower pattern. This is the second African Flower thing I’ve made. I had some autumn-y colors in my stash and decided to give the pumpkin a go. It turned out pretty well.
I found this pattern on Ravelry: Pig Amigurumi CAL pattern by Brenna Eaves. I liked it because it reminds me of a painting that Molly bought from a friend of hers. However, little pink pig did not pass muster and is still available to a loving home!
This little seahorse was one of the first amigurumis I made. It is small and works up very quickly. This particular one is still available, but could easily be made baby-proof with crocheted eyes instead of plastic safety eyes. This would be cute made in any color combination.
After a friend asked if I could make a grey wolf for a family member who likes wolves, I found a pattern and got one ready. He stands about a foot tall.
Who doesn’t need a Puffer Fish?? This was another one included in the Crocheted Sea Creatures book I got from my daughter, Korinna, for Christmas last year. I used acrylic yarn from my stash, so he’s completely washable and dryable.
The baby alien craze was all over the crochet world and I decided to give one a shot. I found this pattern on Etsy – Baby Alien Crochet Pattern Amigurumi Baby Alien Pattern | Etsy The pattern called for safety eyes, but I didn’t have any large enough, so I just crocheted his eyes instead.
I have amassed quite the yarn stash in the last couple of years. One “stash buster” pattern is the African Flower motif. I saw this giraffe pattern thought he was adorable! I used random colors from the stash and after I got the hang out of attaching the motifs together, he turned out pretty cute. He’s around 18″ tall or so.
My daughter, Korinna, gave me a sea life crochet patterns book for Christmas. The first critter I chose from this collection was the octopus. He just looks like a Gus to me. I made the red one with yarn from my stash. I posted a picture of it on Facebook and my friend, Lara, commissioned one in green for her niece who is studying to be a marine biologist.
