Very Tiny Dragon Baby

Early last year when I first started crocheting again and had posted a few pictures of amigurumi, two different friends of mine sent me a picture of this little baby dragon. I found the pattern here. It was designed to be made with sewing thread!! It is incredibly tiny! I sat on the pattern for several months because I just wasn’t sure I could do it using thread as suggested.

Eventually, I decided to give it a shot using a little bit smaller crochet yarn. The first on was done using Caron Simply Soft yarn. It turned out around 4″ or so tall. He went to live in Arkansas with my friend, Sarah, who was one of the two to send me the link to begin with.

Fast forward several months, I had finished all my works-in-progress and decided to try it again using a much smaller yarn, but definitely still yarn. It was fingering/sock weight yarn called Summer Nights yarn in Tropical Fruit colorway. This one ended up being a little over 2″ I think. My daughter, Korinna, thought it turned out pretty cute and promptly adopted him.
